Practical

Packages by arrangement with Blue Safari (2026 fly-fishing from about USD 16,300 per person per week). IDC reopened the old airstrip in 2015, and Astove has a radar station watching the south-west of the EEZ. A white wooden cross marks the north end of the settlement, about 0.8 nm SSW of the island's north tip (Pub. 171). The cemetery holds crew of the Norwegian ship Le Norvegien, wrecked in 1929. Coordinate is approximate: settlement on the OpenStreetMap west coast.
