Aride landing (reserve boat, visiting days)
4° 12.8′ S · 55° 40.2′ E · approximate
Aride's boatmen run every landing through the surf onto the single south-facing beach and then double as your guides on the nature trail.
Practical
Yacht protocol (ICS): arrive no later than 10am Monday–Friday (phone ahead if late); moor to the buoys at the edge of the marine park; the Aride boat collects all passengers — do not land your own dinghy or swim ashore (alien-species control); bags may be searched. Fee SR650 per adult; ICS gives children 4–13 SCR300 (the yacht protocol says ages 3–11 half price), under-4s free; Seychellois and residents preferential/free with ID. Landing is often impossible in the SE monsoon (May–Sep) — phone the island before leaving because conditions at Praslin don't reflect Aride's. Coordinate approx: centre of the south beach near the boatshed and La Cour, read from the ICS trail map and NASA image of the beach.
