Anse Major Trail (Bel Ombre to Anse Major)

4° 37.3′ S · 55° 23.5′ E

A 19th-century plantation path, once good enough to ride a bicycle along, that hugs the cliffs of the Morne Seychellois National Park from Danzil (Bel Ombre) to the boulder-framed beach of Anse Major.

Practical

About 2.5 km one way (Seyvillas), moderately difficult through forest with sea views; The Moorings calls it a lovely 45-minute hike. Non-residents over 12 pay Rs150 (SPGA, undated; verify locally); national park trails open 8am-4pm daily. Card payment only at SPGA sites, or buy online. No road access to Anse Major, so carry water both ways; you can also land by dinghy from a yacht anchored off the beach and walk back toward Bel Ombre. Trail midpoint coordinate from OSM.
