40-ton travel hoist (Subic Sailing Club). Noonsite notes the yard can haul catamarans. The yard calls itself DIY-friendly, but find out all its rules on owner work before you haul. The yard mostly uses outside contractors, so cruisers recommend a signed contract before work starts and keeping copies of every receipt. A 2013 report said you cannot live aboard on the hard. Labour: unskilled 'boat boy' help went for about PHP 1,000/day in 2023. Negotiate fixed prices for skilled jobs and challenge quotes. In 2024 GRP and carpentry workers were plentiful, stainless work was possible but hard to get, and there was no sail loft. Canvas can go through Broadwater Marine or Subic Asia Pacific Marine. One stainless/aluminium fabricator works near Kalaklan Gate. Bay Marine Subic is another boatyard in the Freeport (2026 regatta boatyard tour). Order spares from the USA through Johnny Air Cargo (cruiser tip). Expect everything shipped to be slow through Philippine Customs. Prices before 2024: verify locally.
