Twin Rocks Dive Site (Miniloc)

11° 9.1′ N · 119° 19.8′ E

Two rock pinnacles joined by a sandy channel off Miniloc - nicknamed 'The Stingray Airport' for its resident blue-spotted stingrays - with a swim-through on the larger rock.

Practical

Position: the 'Twin Rock' feature in OpenStreetMap (relation 14187842) on the east side of Miniloc; the dive is on the pinnacles. Depth 13-21 m, all levels, consistent conditions (Philippine Dives); pipefish and angelfish schools by day, lionfish and octopus on night dives. Dive with an El Nido operator - most sites are inside the protected area and divers pay the Eco-Tourism Development Fee. Don't anchor on the reef. Palawan Divers: north side of Miniloc near the Small and Big Lagoons, 5-25 m, current occasional (around full moon), about 45 minutes by boat; look for ornate ghost pipefish, bumphead parrotfish and eagle rays.
