Big Lagoon Moorings (Miniloc)

11° 9.1′ N · 119° 19.6′ E

Moorings just outside the mouth of Big Lagoon on Miniloc's northeast side - the closest a yacht can lie to El Nido's signature lagoon.

Practical

Hacking Family: 11°09.09'N 119°19.59'E; anchoring inadvisable because of coral, several moorings appeared sound; at least 38 ft (about 12 m) found transiting between the islands NE of the mooring. The caretaker banned dinghies inside the lagoon, so it is a long swim (about 0.2 nm to the start, nearly 0.5 nm to the far end) - or rent a kayak from the tour boats (kayaks are mandatory for Big Lagoon per tour guides; PHP 300-400 per kayak, 2026). Lagoon ticket PHP 200 and a daily cap with advance slot booking via accredited agencies. Smart 3G. Day-time only; tour fleets arrive mid-morning.
