True Waters Refill Station (Caticlan)

11° 55.7′ N · 121° 57.1′ E

A purified-water refilling shop on Aklan West Road a few minutes' walk from the Caticlan jetty port: the simplest place to fill 5-gallon jugs or jerry cans for the boat.

Practical

Position: OpenStreetMap shop=water 'True Waters', drinkable=yes. A public drinking-water tap is also mapped on Aklan West Road at 11.92924, 121.9524 (OSM node 4790038623), next to the Shell station. There is no yacht watering point on Boracay or at Caticlan (see Boracay Fuel and Water). On Boracay itself, piped water from Boracay Island Water Co. (BIWC) serves Manoc-Manoc, Balabag and Yapak; BIWC says its water meets the Department of Health drinking-water standard, but cruisers usually buy purified refill water for the tanks - resorts may sell or allow a fill if asked. No water-refill shop is mapped on Boracay in OSM; Philippine 'water refilling stations' are common in barangays, so ask your tricycle driver. Bring your own containers; dinghy landing on the Caticlan side is at the beach near the jetty, not on the passenger port ramps.
