Boracay Coast Guard Station
11° 55.7′ N · 121° 57.0′ E · approximate
The Philippine Coast Guard presence that watches over Boracay's crowded waters and the Caticlan crossing; call it before you approach.
Practical
Approx: no published position found for the station building, so this is plotted at the Caticlan jetty terminal. The YIT guide says PCG Station Boracay monitors arrivals on VHF 16 and should be contacted, with the Boracay Tourism Office, before approaching the island. Coast Guard Station Aklan (formerly referred to as PCG-Caticlan) announced in October 2024 harbour speed limits around Boracay and Malay, designated sea lanes off the west coast and a one-entry/one-exit system. Carry your clearance papers and Coast Guard departure clearance for each leg; the Coast Guard suspends small-vessel sailings when tropical cyclone wind signals are raised.
