Toslob Festival (Oslob)
9° 31.2′ N · 123° 26.1′ E
Oslob's thanksgiving festival on December 8, the feast of its patroness the Immaculate Conception, centred on the church and heritage plaza on the waterfront.
Practical
Coordinate is the Oslob heritage town centre (church and plaza) used for the Oslob Heritage Town Centre entry. Wikipedia: the Toslob Festival is held every December 8 as thanksgiving for blessings received in the past year (formerly called the Sadsad, then Sadsadayon Festival); historically a Sadsad street dance marked the feast of Saint Roch in the third week of August in Poblacion. In May 2024 the parish revived Ligo sa Senor, carrying the Santo Nino image from the church into the sea to pray for rain (Daily Tribune). The town anchorage is open roadstead off the plaza - a settled-weather visit; the whale-shark site at Tan-awan is about 7 km south.
