Sumilon Island Sandbar
9° 26.0′ N · 123° 23.2′ E
A bright white sandbar that curls off the western tip of Sumilon and changes shape with the tide and season - the photo stop on every Oslob tour.
Practical
The Oslob local government licenses boat operators to carry visitors from the whale-shark area to the sandbar; the rest of the island is mostly resort-leased (Bluewater Sumilon, from about 8,200 PHP per night per Wikivoyage). Shallow - approach by dinghy at mid to high tide. Snorkel the reef edges but watch the current.
Best for
A sandbar swim after the whale sharks
