Tagbilaran Port and Coast Guard

9° 39.0′ N · 123° 50.8′ E

Bohol's main seaport and fast-ferry terminal, which handles more than 5,000 travellers a day, with ferries to Cebu, Dumaguete, Siquijor and Mindanao.

Practical

Port position from OpenStreetMap (Nominatim 'Port of Tagbilaran'); Wikivoyage puts the Tourist Pier at 9.6489N 123.847E. Departing passengers pay a terminal fee of about PHP 20 (Wikivoyage, 2019; verify locally). Fast ferries: OceanJet (six daily to Cebu, two to Dumaguete and on to Siquijor), 2GO and Weesam to Cebu; Lite Shipping slow ferries to Larena (Siquijor) and Plaridel on Mon, Wed and Sat at 8pm, and to Argao (Cebu) at 8am and 4pm (schedules from Wikivoyage, check current timetables). Register your arrival with the Philippine Coast Guard at the port, as the area entry notes advise for every major hop. We found no published VHF working channel or office hours for the Tagbilaran Coast Guard; call on VHF 16 or walk in. Tagbilaran is not one of the eight Noonsite ports of entry; clear in at Cebu.
