Minolo Bay Multihull Beaching and Slipway
13° 30.7′ N · 120° 55.0′ E
The usual place in Puerto Galera to beach a catamaran for bottom work, with local workers who know the drill and a recently built concrete slipway.
Practical
Position: OSM 'Minolo Bay'. PGYC (yacht repairs page): Minolo Bay is common for beaching multihulls, with workers experienced in common needs; a concrete slipway was recently completed. Dalaruan Beach ship-repair yard also permits beach haul-outs; beach haul-out elsewhere in the Marine Protected Area is discouraged, and other beaches need the Barangay Captain's permission. Monohulls must go to a travel lift (Papaya Yacht Charter & Services, Nasugbu; Subic Bay). PGYC history notes Minolo was a pre-Spanish settlement and burial site.
