10° 56.7′ N · 119° 21.0′ E

Practical

Hacking Family: 10°56.72'N 119°21.04'E, 24 ft (about 7 m) mud. The sound is enclosed except for two entries at the top and has several potential typhoon holes. During Typhoon Rai they lay about 300 m from mangroves on a storm anchor plus two working anchors with 19 mm bridles; peak wind 53 kn. Five boats that went further in on the west side, about 8 nm south, had problems - winds bounced off the islands, one anchor fouled, one boat's local anchors all dragged. Sandflies (nik-niks) are bad near the shore.
