Luli Island
9° 52.3′ N · 118° 46.1′ E
Luli's name comes from 'lulubog-lilitaw', sink and rise: its sandbars vanish at high tide and reappear at low, so the beach huts seem to float. Good shallow snorkelling and a diving platform off the beach.
Practical
Time your visit for low tide, when the sandbar is exposed; at high tide tours often extend the Cowrie stop instead. Entrance fee PHP 70 in a 2023 guide (verify locally); boat from the wharf about PHP 1,200 for up to 6 passengers (2023). Kayak and SUP rental. No-take: Honda Bay's tour islands are protected, and fishing and littering are prohibited.
Best for
Low-tide sandbar and easy snorkelling
