Lambusan Anchorage (San Remigio)

10° 59.8′ N · 123° 55.1′ E · approximate

An overnight stop on Cebu's north-west coast off the Lambusan River, useful on the way between Bantayan and the Tañon Strait.

Practical

Approximate position about 1.5 km west of Lambusan village (OpenStreetMap 10.9970°N 123.9319°E); Webb gives only 11°00'N 123°55'E - sound in carefully. Webb (2009): 'not too bad' for an overnight stop in the NE season in 6-8 m mud; reefs can be very hard to see because of silt from the river; best approach a bit south of east toward two prominent trees on the ridge; many fish traps; a highway bridge crosses the river north of the best anchorage. San Remigio was strongly shaken in the 2025 Cebu earthquake (100+ sinkholes reported) - coastal changes are possible.
