A clean sand anchorage off the south end of Jilantangan (Hilantagaan) Island, across the channel from Santa Fe - better holding than off the Santa Fe pier, with village bangkas shuttling across.

Practical

Freebird (June 2015): very good holding in sand in about 7 m off the south end of Jilantangan Island at 11°11.3'N 123°48.8'E. To avoid the long dinghy ride to Santa Fe, land on Jilantangan and take one of the bangkas that go back and forth regularly. Jilantangan, Jilantagaan and Hilantagaan are spellings of the same island in Santa Fe municipality (OpenStreetMap: Hilantagaan Island). Solita: the SW-season anchorage lies between the Santa Fe jetty and this island. A couple of resorts on the island.
