9° 53.4′ N · 123° 45.6′ E
At Cabilao's north-west corner, Punta Baluarte, an old abandoned lighthouse stands beside a modern one, and the ruins of the Spanish-era lighthouse keeper's building, with metre-thick coral-stone walls, now house a small museum restored in 2011.
Practical
Light position from OpenStreetMap (Fl 5s). Nearby are the foundations of a Spanish-era stone watchtower (Wikipedia). Cabilao Island Lake (Lake Lanao), the only natural lake in Bohol, is a bird-watching spot, and bird hunting is banned on the island.
