Bureau of Immigration Dumaguete

9° 18.4′ N · 123° 18.4′ E

The local immigration office, which Noonsite says can handle clearances as well as visa extensions for yachts. That makes Dumaguete a practical admin stop for boats based at Bonbonon.

Practical

Position from Wikivoyage. The office is small and often busy because of the large foreign resident population, so expect to wait, especially in winter (Wikivoyage). Noonsite (2014 security advice) also notes that you can check in at Dumaguete after anchoring or mooring at Bonbonon Bay. Confirm the current procedure and which documents are needed (last port clearance, crew list, passports, boat papers) before you sail in; see the area entry notes.

Best for

Visa extensions and paperwork while based in southern Negros
