Yelapa Village
20° 29.3′ N · 105° 26.7′ W
A car-free fishing village of about 1,500 people where two rivers meet the sea in the southernmost cove of Banderas Bay: palapa beach restaurants, boutique hotels, a bohemian art scene and a small local history museum.
Practical
Coordinate from Wikipedia. Reached only by boat; hourly water taxis from Puerto Vallarta and Boca de Tomatlán, plus the Vallarta Ferry on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (leaves Los Muertos about 9:30am, returns 4pm). The Faro de Yelapa lighthouse stands on the point. Beach landing by dinghy; watch the surf.
