Easter week brings Mexican families to the beaches in huge numbers, and Mazatlán's International Motorcycle Week runs at the same time, with thousands of bikers on the malecón.
Practical
Held during Holy Week (March or April, depending on the date of Easter). Beaches, the malecón and restaurants are packed, and Wikivoyage advises extra care with valuables. Marinas, water taxis and island tours are busy. Anchorages near town beaches are loud and the water around Stone Island and Deer Island fills with pangas and jet skis, so do island trips midweek before the holiday. Coordinate is the Olas Altas malecón (existing entry) and is nominal.
