A half-mile crescent of golden sand at the foot of the jungle, lined with thatched-roof restaurants grilling fresh fish. At night the surf can glow with bioluminescence.

Chico's is known for pescado zarandeado, ceviche and aguachile. Majahua and Las Brisas are beachfront favorites with English-speaking visitors, and Mar de Jade is the eco-retreat at the south end. Locals net tiquiliches (small crustaceans) in the shore break. The bay's other beaches are Chacalilla (calmer), Las Cuevas (strong waves) and La Caleta (surf). Bioluminescence was reported on a night walk along the shore. Coordinate is from OpenStreetMap.
