Piedra Blanca Dive (Isla San Marcos)

27° 14.0′ N · 112° 6.2′ W

A 30-ft dive among column formations off Piedra Blanca at the north end of Isla San Marcos, with abundant plant and sea life — S/V Ceilidh rated it a great night dive.

Practical

Waypoint 27°14.033'N, 112°06.241'W from S/V Ceilidh's dive list (Club Cruceros). Snorkel and dive, depth about 30 ft; column formations; abundant life; recommended for night diving. Anchor at Sweet Pea Cove (20-30 ft sand) or the north anchorage — Club Cruceros notes rocky patches there — and dinghy over; keep well clear of Punta Piedra Blanca with the big boat. Squid fleets work these waters in June–July (bright lights at night).
