Fast passenger ferries shuttle every half hour between downtown Isla Mujeres and Puerto Juárez/Gran Puerto in Cancún - the crew's route to the airport, Banjercito, Costco and the chandleries.

Coordinate from the Wikivoyage listing for the Ultramar ferry dock on Av. Rueda Medina. Ultramar: about 18 minutes; departures every half hour roughly 5:00 am-9:00 pm then hourly; first boat from Puerto Juárez 5:30 am, last from the island around midnight; MXN 258 one-way / 468 return (Feb 2022, verify locally). Ferries also run from Playa Caracol and Playa Tortugas in the Hotel Zone; the car ferry runs from Punta Sam (about 45 minutes). Colectivo buses link Puerto Juárez with downtown Cancún. Ferries throw big wakes in the anchorage.
