Ensenada Grande Ridge Hike

From the southern-lobe beach a stair-step scramble up a boulder-filled wash climbs to a plateau and a cliff-top view over the far side of Isla Partida and the Sea of Cortez.

Position: the Ensenada Grande beach in OpenStreetMap (mapped as 'Quieta'), the start of the wash. Online Cruising Guide: hike from the southern lobe beach to a high point on the other side of Partida - good exercise and a lovely view. Roads Less Traveled: boulder-filled canyon to a plateau and cliff overlook; wear hiking boots and a hat; cardón cacti, lizards. Go early; no shade.
