Caleta Lobos Anchorage
24° 18.0′ N · 110° 19.8′ W
A pretty two-fingered cove behind Roca Lobos light, about 5 miles north of the La Paz channel entrance - mangroves, a beach and smooth water in all but a westerly.
Practical
Position: Cruisers Academy anchor pin (24°18'00.6"N 110°19'45.6"W), near the eastern lobe. Club Cruceros: smooth in all but a rare westerly blow; large enough that a sail-race fleet of 20+ boats from 8 to 80 m has anchored there. Hides from northerlies and NW winds. El Merito is the intimate northern finger (The Log). Roca Lobos light marks the entrance. Short hikes, mangroves to explore by dinghy or kayak. Open to W.
