Stingray City Antigua

17° 5.8′ N · 61° 43.5′ W

A shallow, sand-bottomed pool surrounded by reef off Seaton's Village where you stand or swim among friendly southern stingrays, feed them, then snorkel the reef.

Practical

Position is the land base at Seatons (OSM); a short speedboat ride takes guests to the ray site in an open-ocean enclosure north-east of Guiana Island (NEMMA plan, tourism board). Run as a commercial tour (Stingray City (Antigua) Ltd, Seaton's Village) with rum or fruit punch afterwards. Not a yacht anchorage: book the tour or arrange to join by dinghy from Nonsuch Bay only with the operator's agreement.

Best for

A hands-on ray encounter for the crew
