Montserrat is the only country outside Ireland where St Patrick's Day is a public holiday - a two-week festival of Afro-Irish heritage commemorating the thwarted 1768 slave uprising, with soca and reggae concerts, parades, pub crawls, food fairs, hikes and land and sea tours.
