Carr's Bay Shore Dive

16° 47.8′ N · 62° 12.6′ W · approximate

A gentle beach-entry dive over a flat sandy bottom scattered with big volcanic boulders that shelter coral, juvenile fish and passing eagle rays.

Practical

Position approximate, just off the Carr's Bay beach entry used in this file. A 2016 Undercurrent reader report with Scuba Montserrat describes a flat sandy bottom with large volcanic boulders, easy entry and exit from the beach, depths mostly under 25 ft, 40-60 ft visibility and four eagle rays seen in formation; few lionfish. Close to Little Bay, so a good check-out dive. Rolly and surgy in northerly swell.
