An open roadstead off Sandy Point Town on the northwest coast, below Brimstone Hill - the jumping-off point for Statia and Saba and the nearest anchorage to St Kitts Marine Works.
Practical
Good holding in about 5 m, but in May 2022 a southerly swell made a 12 m catamaran roll and ash from cane burning fell on deck (ActiveCaptain). Customs is sometimes available - check at the police station - but not reliably. noforeignland users rate neighbouring Pump Bay 3.0/5: uncomfortable roll and swell, short stays only. Good for an early-morning departure north. Brimstone Hill Fortress is a short taxi ride; Sandy Point has a small market and shops.
