Redonda Seabird Colony
16° 56.3′ N · 62° 20.7′ W · approximate
With rats and goats gone since 2016-17, Redonda's cliffs are again crowded with nesting seabirds - magnificent frigatebirds, masked, red-footed and brown boobies and red-billed tropicbirds - wheeling over the boat as you pass.
Practical
Marker is the island centre (Wikipedia); birds nest across the cliffs and summit. Vegetation has increased more than 2,000 percent since restoration (Wyss Campaign). Watch from offshore; no landing. Keep outside the 500 m no-fishing buffer if trolling.
