Redonda Island

16° 56.3′ N · 62° 20.7′ W

A steep, cliff-ringed rock rising 296 m from the sea between Montserrat and Nevis - uninhabited, nearly impossible to land on, once mined for guano, and now one of the Caribbean's great island-restoration success stories.

Practical

Coordinates: Wikipedia. About 1.4 km by 0.5 km; 22.5 km (14 mi) northwest of Montserrat, 32 km southeast of Nevis; part of Antigua and Barbuda. No safe boat landing, no fresh water; remains of the guano-mining cableways are mapped on OpenStreetMap. The island and surrounding sea are a protected reserve - view from the boat. No sheltered anchorage is documented; deep water close to the cliffs.
