Pointe Ronde and the Craters
15° 32.2′ N · 61° 28.6′ W
Gently sloping, healthy reef off Pointe Ronde south of Portsmouth leading to sandy craters at 92-120 ft where bubbles seep from small holes and the sand is warm - dig in and it can burn.
Practical
Coordinates are the Pointe Ronde headland (OpenStreetMap locality); dive boats moor off it. The Craters site starts around 70 ft. Dive with a local operator (Cabrits Dive Centre or others) - diving on Dominica takes place within marine reserves and independent scuba needs special permission (SSMR rules).
