Dominica's northern port of entry: customs sits at the head of the commercial dock about half a mile south of town, immigration upstairs on the main street opposite the dinghy dock. In-and-out clearance in one visit is the norm for short stays.

Practical

Position approximate - the commercial dock south of town near Glanvillia, placed from Noonsite's description ('about half a mile south of the town') against OpenStreetMap; ask PAYS. Customs hours (Noonsite, Nov 2024): Tue-Fri 8:30 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm, Mondays to 5 pm; overtime charged outside hours; weekend clearance is slow. Customs normally forwards paperwork to Immigration, so you need not visit unless told. Clearing in and out together is possible for stays up to two weeks (Noonsite, 2023-2025 reports). File SailClear before arrival (Feb 2025 Noonsite: authorities still want it). PAYS will clear you for a fee (EC$80 reported Jan 2025; about US$30 for a week at the PAYS office per the 2026 festival page). Moving between ports normally requires a coastal (cruising) permit - ask when clearing. Police/Immigration in town also issue temporary driving permits (noforeignland).
