Lignumvitae Bay (Jolly Beach)

17° 4.2′ N · 61° 53.6′ W

The long crescent of Jolly Beach on Lignum Vitae Bay, immediately south of the Jolly Harbour entrance, with calm water off the sand.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap named-bay node. ABYMA: a direct line between Reeds and Ffryes Points has only 5 ft of water; a calm anchorage can be found beyond this line, and a quiet anchorage between Pearns and Reeds Points at the Jolly Harbour entrance marker. Shoaling keeps yachts well off the beach, as is typical on this coast. The beach is lined by resorts and beach bars; Jolly Beach is the main beach for the Jolly Harbour area (Wikipedia).

Best for
