17° 28.7′ N · 62° 57.6′ W · approximate
Statia is home to one of the last populations of the critically endangered Lesser Antillean iguana, seen on the Quill and around the island's dry forest.
Practical
Coordinates are the Quill (Wikipedia) as representative habitat. The population fell by about 25% in the 2017 hurricanes (Wikipedia). Do not feed or handle; report sightings to STENAPA. Watch also for the Statia morning glory, which grows only on the island (Statia Tourism).
