Kayali Wreck

17° 53.9′ N · 62° 52.6′ W · approximate

A roughly 30 m steel trawler scuttled near Pain de Sucre as an artificial reef, lying at about 29-30 m with two entries - the island's signature wreck dive.

Practical

Position is approximate - placed beside Pain de Sucre, where sources locate it; the dive centres moor on it. Advanced/deep certification; penetration only with appropriate training. Sources disagree on the sinking date (1989 vs 1994). Not to be confused with the 200 ft luxury yacht 'Nonstop' sunk in Hurricane Hugo (1989), which is reported unsafe to visit.
