A small bougainvillea-draped park on the east side with a telescope, looking over the volcanic landscape to the hidden town of Trants, what remains of the old airport to the volcano and the Atlantic.

A steep trail starts just above the Jack Boy Hill Visitor Centre: about 0.8 miles, 2.5 hours, up the western slope with views to the Tar River Valley; strong hikers can continue to Katy Hill. By taxi or rental car.
