A former sugar estate north of Grand-Bourg with a well-preserved stable and sugar-works chimney, beside a west-coast mangrove that the Grand-Bourg nautical base explores by kayak.

Position is the Sucrerie Roussel-Trianon (OSM). Guided mangrove visit every Saturday 8:30am-12pm, about 2.5 hours with a state-qualified instructor, EUR 30; booking tel 0590 97 82 06 (tourist office listing). The estate is owned by the Département and is part of the Écomusée network. On the Grand-Bourg coastal trail (5.2 km one way, yellow markers).
