Fishing Creek Beach
17° 41.9′ N · 61° 48.3′ W
A secluded mangrove-backed beach on Barbuda's wild north coast and an official historic site. It is an important sea-turtle nesting beach, reachable only by 4x4 or by boat.
Practical
Coordinate verified from Wikipedia. Not a yacht anchorage: it is on the exposed Atlantic north shore. Visit with a local guide by 4x4 (several tour operators offer it), or by Barbudan boat in calm weather. Bring water and shade; there are no facilities. Turtle nesting beach: no lights or fires at night, and keep away from nests.
Best for
Remote beachcombing and turtle tracks
