A narrow sand-bottomed cove a mile east of Port Allen that the Coast Pilot calls excellent protection for small craft in anything but south winds - a quiet alternative to the crowded harbor.

Practical

Coast Pilot: 170 yards wide at the entrance, indents about 0.2 mile; boats anchor in 5-10 ft, sandy bottom; sides rocky; seas usually break over the shoal 100 yards off Weli Point on the southeast side - enter favoring the northwest side. Shoal draft only. Exposed to south swell (summer) and kona winds. Coordinate: USGS GNIS bay position (approx).
