Kalanipuao Rock

A submerged rock with only 2 feet over it off Makaokahai Point on the south coast, marked by a buoy - the main hazard on the coastal run between Poipu and Port Allen.
Practical
Coast Pilot: about 0.3 mile southeast of Makaokahai Point and marked by a buoy; vessels should not attempt to pass north of the buoy. Makaokahai Point is easy to recognize by its hills (a rounded 436-ft hill 0.5 mile inland). Coordinate: USGS GNIS 'Kalanipuao Rock'.
