Practical
Coast Pilot: Makahuena Point Light (21-52-08N, 159-26-39W), 80 ft above the water on a 17-ft pole with a black-and-white diamond daymark; the bottom slopes gradually to 7 fathoms about 0.5 mile off; several reefs extend about 300 yards offshore between the point and Koloa Landing; a hotel is prominent on the west side. A conspicuous mill stack at Koloa, 2 miles inland, shows along this coast. Give the point at least 0.5 mile.
