Kihei Boat Ramp

20° 42.5′ N · 156° 26.8′ W · approximate

South Maui's only state boating facility, a busy launch at the south end of Kihei used by dive boats and Molokini charters, and the place to land a dinghy or trailer boat for the Kihei side.

Practical

Approx: position of the ramp basin in OpenStreetMap (way 450126453). DLNR DOBOR facility: 3 ramps, 2 docks, vessel wash-down, restrooms and shower; access from South Kihei Road; mixed commercial and recreational use. The ramp was resurfaced in 2017 and the wash-down area rebuilt in 2023. No fuel, no slips, no harbormaster; nearest marine fuel is at Maalaea (delivered by truck), and jerry-can gasoline is at the Texaco on South Kihei Road about 1 mile north (see Kihei Fuel). Launch early: the commercial Molokini fleet leaves at dawn and parking fills. Contact DOBOR Maui District (808) 243-5824.
