Kalaeloa Harbor (Molokai)

21° 2.9′ N · 156° 51.1′ W

A large natural pocket in the south-shore reef east of Kamalo, the best-protected harbor on the coast but guarded by a shallow bar.

Practical

Coast Pilot 10: the largest and best-protected harbor along the coast, but use is limited by the bar across the entrance, an unmarked opening in the reef. Coordinate is the USGS GNIS position. Shoal-draft boats only, with local knowledge, in calm conditions; reconnoiter by dinghy first.

Best for

Shoal-draft shelter for the adventurous
