Heeia Kea Small Boat Harbor
21° 26.6′ N · 157° 48.7′ W
The state's small boat harbor on the south-west shore of Kaneohe Bay: launch ramps, a pier with a general store, the bay's only pumpout and the fuel point for the windward side.
Practical
46-499 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe; harbor office 808-233-3603, heeia.kea.harbor@hawaii.gov. DOBOR lists 21 berths, 54 moorings, 3 ramps, MSD pumpout, vessel washdown, restrooms, and fuel, food and ice. Coast Pilot 10 (2026): the fuel pier has a reported 10 ft alongside, and gasoline, diesel, berths, water, ice and launch ramps are available; anchoring inside the harbor is by permit only. The Pacific Cup fuel notes list off-road diesel at the Heeia Kea pier (808-236-2380), delivered by truck for race boats, so call ahead to confirm what is pumping. The harbor agent here also handles permits to stay at anchor in Kaneohe Bay beyond 72 hours. Designated mooring areas A and B are measured from the harbor pier (HAR 13-235-35). Recreational thrill craft must transit to their zone from here via the Sampan Channel. The wharf area is a fishery management area (HRS 188-36), so check fishing rules before casting.
