A lifeguarded county beach at Honokahua Bay below The Ritz-Carlton, shaded by ironwoods and palms, at the north end of the Kapalua Coastal Trail.

Practical

Lifeguards on duty; restrooms, showers, picnic tables and grills. Winter surf and currents can be rough; dangerous shorebreak and undertow when surf is up. Swim and snorkel only when calm, mornings usually best. Small paid lot by the park and a larger paid area across Lower Honoapiilani Road (to-hawaii.com).
