Vlicho Bay

38° 41.1′ N · 20° 42.2′ E

A large, almost completely enclosed bay south of Nidri, the yachting backyard of the Inland Sea with boatyards, a long village quay and hundreds of boats at anchor.

Practical

Fully protected; mud and weed with good to very good holding; the water is slightly milky (my-sea). Sailingissues.com: the village quay usually has room outside the holiday months; use plenty of scope and berth close to the L-shaped pier, as depths elsewhere are too shallow for bigger monohulls. Pontoon and pier berths mostly belong to local charter fleets and the Vliho Yacht Club. In peak season the bay is swarming. Ashore: Vliho Yacht Club bar and restaurant, tavernas, a laundry, a supermarket and boatyards (my-sea).

Best for

Hurricane-hole shelter and boatyard work
