Rouda Bay (Poros)
38° 38.2′ N · 20° 41.8′ E
A wide green bay below Poros village on the south-east coast of Lefkada, with a beach, a small fishing harbour (Mikros Gialos) and a few tavernas.
Practical
Anchor outside the buoyed summer swimming area in 8-15 m on sand and weed, mostly good holding (my-sea). Room for 5+ boats to swing; in stable weather you can anchor close to the rocks at the NW end of the beach (sailingissues.com). Good shelter from the prevailing N-NW but swell can roll in, and the bay is open to the south; strong gusts are possible. The Mikros Gialos fishing harbour is usually full: anchoring is prohibited within 45 m of the quay, so if you go stern-to use maximum scope, or anchor further west with a line to the breakwater. Tavernas O Molos (sailingissues), Zolithros and Rouda; a minimarket ashore (my-sea).
