Porto Limnionas
37° 44.4′ N · 20° 42.1′ E
A narrow limestone fjord on the west coast with exceptionally clear, deep water: no sand, just rock terraces, ladders into the sea and a cave to swim into.
Practical
Reached by road via Agios Leon; a short flight of steps leads down to the water (zanteisland.com). Two terraces with sunbeds and a taverna above (OpenStreetMap: Porto Limnionas café at 37.7394, 20.7007; L'été sunset bar). Islanders Zante Diving Center is based here (OpenStreetMap). No cruising-guide anchoring data: the inlet is narrow and exposed to the west, so stand off and come in by dinghy only in calm weather.
Best for
A calm-day swim and snorkel in a west-coast fjord
Season
Calm weather only; open to W
