Coordinate is approx: placed in the water about 300 m east of the OSM Kalamaki beach (37.91969N 23.01077E); verify depth on your chart. Noonsite: there is an anchorage in Ormos Kalamaki just north of the entrance, although it is quite deep until close inshore; waiting for your slot can take up to 3 hours; keep listening on VHF 11. Wash from large ships passing into the canal strains lines at the dock, which is why some crews prefer to wait at anchor.
